The main principles of Dutch contract law

The principles of fairness and reasonableness are the dominant principles in Dutch contract law. According to the Dutch Civil Code, parties to an obligation must behave in a reasonable and fair manner. To become a lawyer in the Netherlands, you are required to complete a law school at a Dutch university and then follow the three year Professional Education Program for the Legal Profession.
